Enrolment

Beckenham Primary School is a local intake school and priority is given to students who live within the school boundaries. Please refer to the Beckenham Primary School Boundary Map. It is only under extenuating circumstances that local-intake schools are able to accept enrolments for children who do not link in the intake area of this school. For further clarification regarding local intake information about Beckenham Primary School, please contact the school directly.

In Western Australia children are able to start their education in Kindergarten, however compulsory school commences in Pre-Primary. Please refer to the school age calculator (https://www.education.wa.edu.au/enrolling-in-school) to determine your child’s commencement year by their date of birth. 

Kindergarten Applications 2025

You are invited to submit Applications for Kindergarten 2025. If your child was born between July 1 2019 and June 30 2020 they are eligible to attend Kindergarten in 2025. Kindergarten enrolments close on the first Friday of Term 3 each year.

Applications can be submitted in the front office during the school term between 8:50am and 3:00pm with the following Supporting Documentation.  

Three Proofs of Address:

  1. Latest Council Rates Notice (if you own your property) or Tenancy Agreement with a minimum of three months lease period remaining.
  2. Driver’s Licence with current address
  3. Latest Utility bill (Water/Gas/Electricity only)

Student documentation required:

  1. Birth Certificate
  2. Australian Passport (Please note that if your child is an Australian citizen but both parents were born overseas, then proof of one of the parent’s permanent residency/ citizenship or the students Australian Passport is also required at the time of application.)
  3. Medicare Immunisation History Statement
  4. Visa or Australian Citizenship. If a child or parent is a visa holder, you will also need to provide the visa grant notice and Passport.

Beckenham Primary can access an interpreter service in most languages at no cost to the parent.  If you believe an interpreter would support you in communicating with us, please let us know, and we can organise this valuable service, free of charge. All interpreters and translators are bound by a confidentiality clause.
