Principal’s Message

Thank you for the interest you have shown in our school. Beckenham Primary School was founded in 1912 celebrating its centenary year in 2012. Amongst our student population are second and third generation family members having either parents or grandparents who attended our school for their primary education.

Our school motto, “Share and Care”, embodies the values of tolerance, caring, understanding, thoughtfulness and selflessness which all contribute to a productive and harmonious school climate. The school is fortunate in having a diverse student population with over 40 cultural groups represented.

Beckenham Primary School staff are dedicated to assisting your child in reaching his or her full potential through the provision of a well-rounded education. The school is also fortunate to have strong support from parent volunteers and boasts a very productive and supportive Parents and Citizens Association.

The school is well resourced with a fully equipped student kitchen as well as specialist Art and Science rooms. The children have large open play areas including an oval and benefitting from lessons with a specialist Physical Education teacher.

We have a very well stocked library which also houses a bank of desk top computers. The school has a wireless network which supports two trollies of iPads. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards and internet access.
