Student Support

Beckenham Primary School has a strong student support network incorporating a School Psychologist, School Chaplain, Aboriginal Islander Education Officer (AIEO) and Student Support Officer.

The School Psychologist attends Beckenham Primary School on a weekly basis. Students are referred through teachers and administration.

Beckenham Primary School offers a chaplaincy service through YouthCARE. This service offering support for the well-being of our students and caregivers. Requests for support can be made through the office by phone 9278 3700 or via email beckenham.ps@education.wa.edu.au.

The school Aboriginal and Islander Education Officer (AIEO) supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students by engaging with students both inside and outside the classroom. This support encompasses academic achievement, participation, attendance and communication.

The school also provides a Student Support Officer 3 days a week. The Student Support Officer provides one to one and group support for students in areas of emotional regulation, resilience, academic, grief/loss and generalised worries. Requests for support can be made via the classroom teacher, Administration team and the ‘Request for Support’ form located at the School Office.
